Even in breaking news, visuals can make the difference between connecting with the audience, or letting their eyes glide past the story. Since coordinating graphics for The Rachel Maddow Show, I have had a strong eye for presenting the news in a way that clarifies, informs and entertains viewers in the few seconds we have to grab their attention and draw them into a story. Below are a few examples of graphics I created for HuffPost's splash headline.
